Add image to module background

Template: OT Enter Design
How to add a background image right across the block which contains module position (middle3-1 to middle3-6) for the home page only?
I've tried changing the background in template manager however the new background affected banner, middle1-1, middle 2-1 and middle 3-1 series which is ok, however I want an image for module position (middle3-1 to middle3-6) for the home page only.. Ive tried adding this to the css file (preset-style-1.css on line 40) :

background-attachment: scroll; /*was totally empty */
background-image: url("../images/bg_money.jpg");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: 0 0;
background-color: #FFFFFF;


Saw no change, any help would be appreciated
