No Left Module Position and other problem

I just installed this beautifull template on Joomla 2.5. There seems to be a number of problems I cannot resolve myself, so I hope someone can help me.

First : There is no Left Module Position to select from, for instance for placing a menu;
Second : The "Mega Featured Articles SlideShow" can be configured, but besides a green rectangular, there is a "no show" (for the moment I found an alternative extension, but I rather use the original).
With the activation of this module the rectangular was shifted out of position. With a configuration of 281 px height I was able to allign this module again. Another height is not working.

Please advise because I would be very said if I could not use this beautifull template. Thanks.

The "Mega Featured Articles SlideShow" extension is working now. After trying all kinds of possible solutions, I made a clean install. All the other problems still exist. So, please advice.

You should edit module and assign it to left position and menu that you want it display on.

For left position, there is a miss-declaration in templateDetails.xml. So the word 'left' is not shown in the select dropdown. But you can type directly in that text-box the word 'left' (no ' ' ) instead of click select dropdown.

that did the trick. Filled manually in the module position : "left" and it worked.
