when the client register on the site, his email is sent in an email to confirm your registration. But when he clicks on the link it just redirects to the site, and register it idles ...

It is better if we can have the url to try register on your site and find the problem.

Or you can check again the SEF component / SEF configure for redirect issue.
You can try turn off the SEF and test registration. If it is ok so the problem is SEF configuration.
