CSS failure in dropdown menu with all IE browsers

Hi,

When the mouse cursor is passing the red line below the main buttons of the dropdown menu, the sub menu items will collapse in all versions of internet explorer. Please see attached screenshot.
Is there any fix available for joomla 1.7?
