Hi,
It's loading slow cause it has issues with images, please check image below:
From your facebook fanbox on right side bar
And from your banner slideshow, you should save your image as "Save for web & devices...." and set it in 70% quality with jpg file type. Image from your k2 is loading slow too.
Issue is not coming from code file. It has issue from image and image.

Can you try install demo quickstart only and don't install anything ? cause i see your site's loading slow with many images.
