Slideshow won't load on first attempt

Slideshow won't load on first attempt was created by Jeff McMahon

The slideshow won't load on the first attempt to visit the website. I can click on another menu option and return to the "Home" screen and the slideshow then works. Does this in IE8 and Google Chrome, haven't tried any others.
