Days display

First of all thank you for the wonderful module!

It only displays the amount of past days wrongly on my system.
I am using the European /Dutch date system but the modules says:
11th nov - 15289 days ago for something that has been posted a month ago.

I am using J1.7.3 and the latest module just downloaded from this site.

Any clue what can be wrong?

I am having the same problem with Joomla 2.5.4
